About us

AGM Batteries Ltd is a joint venture company which manufactures market leading Lithium-ion cells. Located in Thurso, Caithness, Scotland, it began production in March 2000. In September 2001 it formerly launched its world leading ‘Kaizen’ cell at Europe’s largest defence show. In March 2002, AEA Technology was awarded the multi-million pound contract to supply batteries and chargers to the UK MoD’s new BOWMAN battlefield communications system, based on AGM’s world leading cell.

Established as a leader in Lithium-ion cell manufacture, AGM remains at the forefront of battery technology as it continues to expand and develop its range of Lithium-ion products.
